I bought an ice wireless camera that can see in the dark and i want to run the signal directly in to my computer and record it round the clock onto a 160gb drive i have
I dont have any video ins on my 6800gt whats the cheapest solution for what im trying to do?

no its a camera that is meant to record onto a vcr
theres a reciever that puts out a video signal that you just plug into the front of the tv i want to plug it into my computer instead and record it onto a hard drive

It depends on what kind of cables you use to plug the receiver into the tv with, and probably you'll need an GFX card that handles TV-IN kind of stuff.......

its an rca cable
I dunno what the signal is but whats the cheapest solution to do what im trying to do? also once i get it in how can i set it up to record it

an a/v capture card, they go fer about 40-50 at the cheapest when they are on sale, after rebates, they are usb, or pci. look in your local computer store, you could always just use a webcam with special software instead

i WENT ON X 10 AND THEY HAVE A PCI CARD THAT U CAN PLUG UP TO 4 CAMERAS INTO FOR around 70 so maybe thats the way to go It seems that that one is tailored exactly to the way i want Im trying to set up surveilance of my garage and my parking spots I got the camera on ebay for 37 shipped and damn if isnt the est buy ive had in a while it has a very clear picture and it has nightvision that actually works maybe im behindthe times with this stufff but thats a good deal to me I figureed for under 100$ i can keep an eye on my cars at all times ill have to go to x 10 again
