whats the diference between. the retail and OEM versions of these speakers?

Most of the time with cases like this, that just means that it doesn't have the box with, or the retail packaging for some reason. These are considered to be just as good as the full retail versions of the products...

oo that makes sense, how come it shows more specs when you compare on the OEM one, and is their anyone else to back this up

Well, it most of the time depends on who is writing the bio on the product at newegg. Probably the person that did the OEM was feeling a little more ambitious than the guy who did the retail one, but that's just my feeling... Anyway, the point is that there's nothing different performance-wise between the two items. It comes down to the question: Do you want the Logitech box or not?
