Windows XP Pro, MS Office, Norton Anti-Virus

Total: $1722.30 CDN (AFTER 15% TAX, it is brutal)
Before tax it was $1511 CDN, or $1235.18 USD

Hopefully if I got ripped off, it wasn't too bad . Think I got an OK deal? Comments?

P.S. Thanks to everybody who guided me in purchasing my new computer. Hopefully it'll be a solid machine and I'll enjoy it. This is a great site for clueless people like me. Thanks!

Did you make it or buy it pre-built? If you bought it, that's a little high, but not that much. If you made it, that was a rip off. Those parts would have cost me around $800 (US) I think.

6600GT's dont have a 256mb version. The next step up would be a 6800GT or maybe a X800. Those are about 150 more, going to a 6600 256mb would be a bit slower but with just more memory so yeah.'
And you didnt get ripped off. Thats actually one sweet computer for the price.

Price is a bit high ... but not excessively so.

As if the extra 128MB makes a world of difference when yer on a 16GB/s bandwidth line ... hell ... look at the 9800Pros ... at 21GB/s there's not a lot of difference between 128MB and 256MB
