I want to upgrade my video card from a geforce 4 mx440. I have a geforce 4 ti 4600 that I can transfer to my computer from another computer for free, but I also bought a geforce 6200 AGP. I'm wondering if the 6200 is really that much better or better at all than the 4600. Should I save the money and go with the 4600 and wait till I have enough $$$ to afford a higher end card, or is the 6200 a good upgrade.
By the way, is the radeon 9800 better than the 6200? |

Depends on what games your playing. The 6200 isn't very fast but will pull ahead over the 4600 in DX9 environments. Especially when overclocked, which they tend to do quite well.

I mostly play dx9 suporting first person shooters, so if I am understanding what you are saying the 6200 should do better? I think I will return it though because if the ti 4600 runs my games pretty smooth on medium settings.
I see a new e-vga Geforce 6800 non gt for auction on ebay. Curent bid is US $112 with 15 hours left. Is this a good card? Is that a good price? Should I look for a radeon 9800 pro or xt instead? |
