well,
i have bought a pci-e card, without having the rest of my system yet. (damn those slow ebayers -_- ) anyway, the card i bought is a XFX 6800GT (256Mb) well, the guy who sold it to me said it was safely OC'able to ultra lvl (without having to change the cooler). but, has anyone here got any xp with that? this are the specs of my card: http://www.techbuy.com.au/products/4...t_PCI-Ex16.asp

Well they did talk about overclocking a 6800GT to "be" a Ultra. They said that the GT OC'ed would be better than the Ultra, because of faster RAM timings. But I don't know about how reliable the stock cooler would be when OC'ing. Somebody wrote this on AnandTech forums: "I would ignore both and get the 6800GT for AGP. I can oc mine to 430/1114." Maybe you should check this out http://www.nvnews.net/reviews/bfg_ge...oc/index.shtml
