Whats a good video editing program to use?

Can somebody recommend a good video editing program to me? I been using windows movie maker, and although it is very good and usefull, I was wonder if there is another program out there with more video editing options. I'm looking for something that is really easy to use for the basics, but has advance features that I can use once I start getting a hang of the program. I'm looking for good transition effects, fade music in and out of a video, also fade video audio in and out of music, special effects,etc... Just something more advance than windows movie maker.

You should be looking at Adobe Premier methinks http://www.adobe.com/products/premiere/main.html
