Default I need help picking out out a CPU fan and some case fans.

Ok, the fan on my processor is acting up and I would like to replace it. I have an Asus P4P800s motherboard and a Pentium 4 3.3 GHz processor. Can someone tell me what fans are compatible with that processor? \

Also, I have one case fan that is a little loud and I'd also like to add another. How do I know which size to get? I have at least one open case fan port. Should I have one intake and one exhaust?

The key word on all these fans is quiet!!

Thanks!!

I need a CPU cooler that's of good quality and easy to install, since I'm a beginner in modding my computer.

if you want a good cpu cooler, look at heatpipes, try thermalright. Look at newegg.com, and xoxide.com for some good cooling products. Fans depends on what you want, the higher the cfm, the better, and the lower the dba, the quieter it will be.
Thermaltake has a nice fan called the SilentCat fan.

Will I have to do any modding? Will it basically be a plug and go installation?

What is your cpu? With any heatsink your best off getting some better thermal past as well, like arctic silver 5. A heatpipe will usualy work much better for cooling hot cpu's, they are more expensive though. The one you picked out looks like a basic stock heatsink, it whould work okay, depends on the type of cpu you have and how hot it gets.

It's a P4, 3.2 GHz. I'm not a gamer and I don't do anything hardcore. Can you recommend a good heatpipe? I was planning on gettng Arctic Silver.

You should be able to find a heatpipe around $30. I got the xp-90 by thermalright, it had good reviews, as do all of their coolers, so you might want to take a look at them. thermalright.com Theres so much stuff out there, it just comes down to personal prefrence, I got mine cause of the good reviews, i just received it, have yet to install it.

Do they make one to fit a P4, 3.2 GHz - 478 pin?

When you put the fan on top, which way does it go? Airflow up or down?
