My screen is going crazy. This happens every now and then, but today it has happened four times. I think it software related, it happened when I click on something. Doesn't matter what, it's random. I can be in IE and hit file it happened or in something else. It happened in photoshop and I was able to do a print screen... I highly doubt this to be a cooling problem. Any input I can get will be great.

I Would Try Changing Graphics Cards And Try A Diffrent Monitor. Are You Using Onboard Video Card Built Into Your Motherboard?

its not your graphics card or your monitor if your screenshot captured the problem, although i dont know what it is, hopefully it will help you a little to know that.

Yeah, I figured it was software. Obviously not the monitor with the screen shoot. :-)
This has never happened in a game, Only 2d apps. I normally can figure problems out easily . This is weird. I've done nothing new to the computer lately. It's XP Home SP2 and auto updates are on. I wonder if a new driver update was downloaded and is conflicting with something. I hasn't happend again and it wont bother me to much untill it starts doing it alot... Better it be software than my Vid card. I don't have the money to drop into this thing. Thanks for you replys. |

try uninstalling the via agp driver and use the one that comes with your graphics drivers and vice versa.
i believe there is a fast writes issue with ati cards too, not sure of the exact details though
