I am wanting it to be easy to upgrade once new games start coming out, thats the only problem i have. socket 754 only alows for a 3700+ right now, and agp is kinda dying down.

granted that it will still be a few years before i run out of upgrade options, do u think it would be better to drop down a hundred or so more to get pci and socket 939?

POWMAX PSU STINK!!!!! I got the 400 watt one cause it came with my case, it's really light, like lighter than my 250 watt one and it only has 5 molexes..and the reviews say that it burns out in like a month.

thast what you get for using psu's that come with cases. plus, 1 bad experience doesnt make it a bad company.

its quite a good psu x24, it has a nice ampage on the 12v rail , although more wouldnt be a bad thing

um, thats all the ram i could afford, i was looking for a $50 mobo, and i got like 3 dollars off that mobo becuase the video card i picked out.

yes, i picked that psu becuase it had the best amperage on the 12v rail for the price.

again, this is just a budget system, if i had more money, of couse i would go with better mobo, processor, ram, graphics psu, ect ect!

ok, few questions.
first off, does anybody else have any ideas if i can improve this staying within the same budget +/- $25

also, how would that X700 compare to my geforce go 6800? (i9300)

one last thing, is it worth like $20 to move to a 3000+ clawhamer?

If you have the cash go for it, if the extra 20 is better off in your pocket, stick with the 2800.

Total $547 or if you get x700pro SAPPHIRE 100595L-BL Radeon X700PRO 128MB GDDR3 PCI Express x16 Video Card-123 , total would be $501. All prices are newegg.

Future upgrades, first arctic silver 5. I'm assuming also on this build you have windows, monitor, keyboard, mouse, and speakers. Than upgrade second stick of memory. Followed by either gfx card or processor. Than sound card if needed. Case was taken from your post. No shipping and handling charges are included.
