No audio device?

Spec: Asrock P4S61 motherboard, 1gb RAM, P4 3ghz, XP Pro (no SP's) no sound cards...

I recently built my first PC but in the Sounds and Settings, Volume tab it says I have no audio device?

I have the sound drivers installed

Any ideas where I'm being told that I have no audio devices?

I recently reformatted another PC, installed XP Pro, Installed no drivers yet and on that PC there is an audio device "VIA Audio [WAVE]!?!
