Default service pack 2

is service pack 2 going to have some new preventative measures to scan to see if the copy of windows it is being installed upon is legit? also when is windows media player series 10 coming out?

The new update should scan your system to see if your copy is legit. Just like the last one did SP1. Just after the release of SP1 a crack was released so you could change the key to allow it to install. It was written by Mr. dude or at least that’s what the credits said. But now all the serials in that program are checked for and will not allow access to the updates through the update program.

It also seems that not only will the service pack scan the serial but also the update page itself scans your serial and checks it against those in which its knows to be no longer valid.

SP2 should be released within in the month I believe. And also it should include the release of DirectX 9.0c since the SP2 Rc2 beta release had it bundled with it.

As for Media Player 10 it’s in Beta testing now and I believe you can download directly from Microsoft it to try out the beta. Link to download below.
