Default will this powersupply fit in my dell 4700

will this powersupply fit in my dell 4700 or does it have the wrong connectors

It will 'fit', but it's not what you are looking for, the power lines wont match up properly

i just bought this one for my dell 4700 but when i bought it was on sale, still a good PSU.

You are limited to calling Dell or pulling all the wires out of the P1 and putting them back in the proper order.

Good chance that this wont fit bob, the pinout are different for dells.

You may need to conver the pinout from this

if u mean i will need to convert it from a 20-pin to a 24-pin well the pic shows a 24-pin, but the last for are detachable, it that gonna be ok?

Becuase Dell wants you to buy a new PC from Dell whenever your current Dell becomes out of date (ie weak video and PSU prevent you from upgrading) they use non-upgradable PSUs (which is arguably the key component when upgrading video cards). You can remove the wires from any 24pin connector and rearrange them to what they should be (shown in the links apj101 posted).
