Default Weird Problem, at times...

Hey guys, I've got something here that is just kinda of a nuisance... Every once in a while (once a month, if that...) I get a strange operating error where I try to access the My Computer screen, and nothing happens. The computer acts like it's going to bring up the window, and then doesn't, same for the My Documents, My Music, etc. In addition, the Ctrl+Alt+Delete command will not come up, however, I can still open any programs listed in the Start menu as well as anything with a Quick Launch icon or on the desktop. If I restart the computer, then the problem seems to go away and doesn't return for a long time. This happened today for the third time, so I'm just wondering what is doing this. I doubt it's a virus, since it happens so infrequently, so am I trying to start to much at the beginning of start up and that part of the OS hangs??? I'm so confused as to why this is happening... Thanks!

Default Hmm

What OS have you got? It seems to me to be a bug in Windows.

I have XP, the thing that bothers me is that it's so infrequent, but at the same time, still annoying...

Are you talking about Windows explorer or Internet Explorer, and this last time I had switched over to Firefox and it was doing that on there as well, it seems to be a universal block of Windows working properly...

Yeah, that's possible, but usually Windows will come up with a screen that says the system is dangerously low on resources if that's the case. It must be something to do with Windows Explorer, because everything else functions when this happens...
