Default Can't make partition larger than 32GB

I have an 80GB hard drive, which i partitioned in windows 2000, that was my first mistake. It made it 32GB, and now the largest setting i can make that hard drive is 32GB. I now run things on Win xp with sp2. It is made by seagate, and I tried thier software, and it wont let me do anything. I tried partition magic, and it wont do anything above 32GB. Note that this computer is a bit older, probably when they had that limit. Any ideas on how to get my other almost 50 gigs back? thanks
