Default 5.1 Surround Sound

I am getting this motherboard:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813186052

Not the best motherboard, but oh well....

Anyway, I am getting 5.1 surround sound speakers with it, and the motherboard description says it has "6 channels" of onboard audio. I am worried the onboard sound will not work with the speakers because the motheboard only has one input jack, one output jack, and one headphones jack (I think that is what it has). I was just wondering if 5.1 speakers will work with this motherboard. I am getting the Cintre RW-6510 speakers.

8 channels is 7.1 so that would make 6 5.1, yes from that imformation i would say it would work!

Yea, chances are your "line out" from your computer will go directly to the subwoofer, which will have speaker wire running to all the other speakers... At least thats how my 5.1 system works

Yes I do.. Just 1... From the audio out port on the computer, goes to the subwoofer. Then from the subwoofer goes to all the other speakers.

If thats your setup, then it should work... If you need more than 1 plug to the computer, then you need a different sound card.

I'll need to buy a soundcard, since I am using onboard audio (Audio isn't a big issue with me, just as long as it works) so I just hope my speakers are like yours. (what kind of speakers do you have??)
