You mean you want to be able to boot into DOS, such as DOS 6.0?

Well, if all your hard drive is partitioned for Windows XP, you won't be able to put DOS on it without reformatting your drive. If you have some unpartitioned space, or a different hard drive, you could put DOS on that separately from your Windows XP partition.

Easiest option would be to buy a small HDD and install sometyhing like DOS 6.0 on it. Configure it for dual boot in win XP and then you'll get the option when you startup as to which HDD (which OS) you want to boot from.

You'll have to partition and install all over again, make sure to install dos first or the xp start up files will get corrupted.
Good luck, I'm gonna attempt this same thing soon as well.

Not necessarily, there are many programs which let you resize the primary partition, in many case that only one that is taking up the hard drive
In fact, i am trying to find one now to install me Fedora Core 4 Linux OS, although i am having some problems |
