Default Oh crap...

On startup, I get a message that SMART detects imminent hard drive failure. I presume means that I'm going to have to replace my entire hard drive. Is there anything that I should be doing, aside from backing up my files (which I have already done). Should I take it in to get a new hard drive immediately, or can I just wait until it finally dies? Everything seems to be working fine at the moment, so I'd kind of like to put it off as long as possible.
