Real Alternative keeps trying to play WMP web videos

Hi

Ok heres my issue im having. For months now ive had windows media 10 and real alternative installed. Obviously WMP for WM files and Real Alternative for Real Media files.

For the past few days i find whenever i go to a website and theres a Windows Media stream (music video/live stream) Media Player Classic which is only meant to play Real files is coming up and not even playing the files its just there and says error cannot play file. Its annoying me, when this happens i have to re-install Windows Media Player 10 and then WMP plays the files. Then i find myself install WMP10 again within a few hours because the same issue occurs.

Its really annoying me, i have checked settings for each (WMP10 and Classic Media Player) and i cannot seem to find out how or what is wrong. Can someone please help me? Its driving me crazy

Real Alt may be claimimg associatin of the files automatically. Make sure WMP is the only one associated with that type

Go to the settings of windows and real alt and there should be a setting that asks you what file types you want to associate the software with

The ones selected are Real Media File, Real Script File, DirectShow Media File thats it. I dont know why it keeps trying to play Window Media files
