Default Windows Activation Problem

Right when it goes to activate windows online it cant. I have an onboard and a Linksys card both in but it doesnt work with either. If I take on the linksys out and put the internet connection in the onboard, should it connect to the internet or what?

Check your internet security settings/cookie settings, there might be something amiss there...

Wait, are you talking about using Windows Update online (which you need an activation code for), or you can't get Windows to boot?

maybe he just insatalled xp and he needs to activate it that way, if so then u may need to set a dynamic ip address. but yes u can just plug ur modem directly into your computer.

you should be able to activate later. they give you 30 days to activate. and they constantly ask on the desktop. you should get drivers for your ethernet card first.
