I copied hard drives which have win xp on them, in dos. I tried looking at their contents in windows 2000, and i can see all the files perfectly on the original hard drive, but on the copy, the space is taken up on the drive, the folders are there, but the files aren't. I have windows show all hidden files. when i click properties on the folders in the hard drive, it shows how many files and how much space is taken up, but there are no icons. Help! Recently the original hard drive sorta took a dump on me, so i'm sorta stressed out. Do you know if i put the copied hard drive in a win xp computer, would i be able to view the files on the windows xp computer?
