No, you can get a pretty good one under $150. The Epson C86 is around $100, HP 5740 is about $90. The HP 6250 is around $130, I think. All of these are just standard printers (not all-in-one). If you want an AIO, then the Epson CX4600 is about $100, HP 1610 is about $130, HP 5510 is about $150. My recommendation would be one of the Epson, better print quality and cartridge life. Any other questions/clarifications?

it'll still print, but yeah, then the copy and print functions won't be usable. I'd go with the Epson C86 personally then, but the HP 5740 is a good option too.

Umm..., don't remember off the top of my head, they're somewhere around 20 for black and 15 for color. Look up the specs at the manufacturer's website...

I have the Canon PIXMA IP3000 which I love. It a fast printer with good print quility. It uses 4 ink cardges (b,c,m,y). this allows you only to replace the color you out of. The ink last a long time I have not had to replace the ink yet so am not exactly saw what the cost is but cannon ink usually very reasonable. Anouther cool feature is it does 2 sided printing.

As you see $72 before rebate but after rebate it only $52.

The model above it also fits in your budget which is the canon pixama ip 4000
