will this dvd drive work with my motherboard

yeah, for dvd/cd drives all you really look for is if you can connect it to your mobo, the dvd drive uses PATA and you have 2 PATA and 4 SATA on your mobo.

do you want to use it with another CD/DVD drive?

what is IDE then is that pata and no i am going to get a dvd burner but not right now

i have an external cdrw and my dad is selling his computer and he is going to put his dvdrw in my computer

reh IDE is PATA, Parallel A-T-A, it is the larger of the 2 connectors at the edge of the board.
