Default New mobo, new graphics card - not working

Wonder if someone may help me on this. I just purchased a new Abit VT7 motherboard with no onboard video and purchased a new Geforce MX4000 AGP graphics card. After proper installation and boot up I get nothing on my screen. Took the video card back, installed the new one and once again nothing happens. So basically there is no way for me to install drivers, etc...I did try another monitor and got nothing again. Any help would be appreciated.

Default Well

My next bet would be to have the motherboard replaced. It could be faulty. Also make sure that the graphics card is firmly in place. Try clearing your CMOS.

i think the AGP pa of te mobo cold be damaged. or the card is not compartible with the mobo (his is howver very unlikely.) anyway, try a grafics card from an old pc. (AGP, or if you have one, a pci card) and try to boot then
however.. it could also be the RAM. does the mobo give any beeping sounds, or does it have diagnostic LED's?

Thanks for your help. I looked at the Abit site and it looks as if the Geforce is not compatible with the new Abit mobo. Will have to get another video card.
