Default Fsb=100mhz Wtf?

it should read 400mhz but i went and clicked the banner about this board and tried out crucials system detect program and it saids my fsb is 100mhz lol.

Have you attempted to "Load Optimal Settings" in BIOS?

i have the same problem... 99.63Mhz.

And i cant 'load optimal settings' in BIOS because Compaq (and HP) use their own 'custom' BIOS that wont let you see or manually change things they dont want you to.

go to compaqs site and see if there is a bios update for your board.

Well, the bast they have is THIS which has a bunch of random rubbish updats and it Sets CPU fan speed to full when the fan setting is disabled in BIOS, and to 7V when enabled.

Somehow, i dont think that'll work...

well, this is why i dont go with these premade computers but its at least worth a try.

i THINK it saids 100mhz fsb cuz is a 4x multiplier. lol cuz i think thats right cuz i tried with the 3.ghz prescott p4 w/800fsb same way and their site reads it as 200mhzfsb.

download CPU-Z and see what it says for your FSB and Multiplier
post a screenshot of it

hmmm... i could of swear one of my ram module is a 2100 but then again i dont think i remember, it was awhile ago, the program detect both of them 2700 but the bios reads as 2100 lol i guess thats what they mean buy 2700 but messages at 2100 lol

did you do those settings yourself? the 26 multi?

have you tried clearing cmos? if so same results?
