Default How to i get a programme to start at Startup?

Hey

Ive got XP pro installed and a few months back i downloaded a programme from the VIA Audio site thingy. Anyways the programme is basically just to control the volume and it started on the taskbar everytime i log on. About 3 days ago it didnt load so i reinstalled it now its not starting at start up.

I went onto the Registry and added the following entry for the programme like : Type - REG_SZ : Data - "C:\Program Files\VIAudioi\SBADeck\ADeck.exe" /background

The problem is it loads up the programme window up at start up which i dont want i want it to load up in the taskbar. How can i do this?

Take the icon for the program and drop it in your startup folder. It is located in Start---All Programs---Startup Any programs in there will run with Windows startup.

he already has it starting on startup, he wants it to start in the systray...
did you check to see if you can just enable this in the options for this program? If it was doing it before and stoped that is probably what happened, for some reason that got disabled

kiis, if you know how to do it now, you should post your answer, so if someone else has the same problem, they can fix it to!

o ok sorry lol yup in the registry for the RUN section i think most people know how to get there, at the end of the programme address (C://.......) you leave a space and put -quite not /background like i put a few posts up. It worked for this particular programme not sure if it will work for everyone though
