Default Video editing software

I have like 7 movie clips that i whant to combine into one single clip does any one know a good free program that can do the job a AVi or Mpeg format would be nice.

adobe might offer a trial ver. also I think flash MX has avi/mpeg support now, and I know they have a trial offer.

VirtualDUB is the best for AVI. TMPEGEnc for MPEG1/2.

I am pretty sure that you can combine them into one file by goin onto moviemaker and then just save it. Then when you view it you have one clip not 7.
