some drivers on hp site will say it will not function properly if you are not using the original os that came with ur computer, so if you dont mind you can use recovery cd/dvd created from hp program. all ur devices are onboard intergrated is it not?

To save people some trouble, here's the official HP page on that model:
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/p...&lang=en&cc=us

The driver page can be found here:
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/s...&dlc=en&os=228

Now looking at the drivers,
- You dont need the nvidia drivers from HP, get them from http://www.nvidia.com/object/winxp_2k_61.77
- Now you might even be able to nVidia's mobo drivers (rather, you should be able to), get them from here: http://www.nvidia.com/object/nforce_udp_winxp_4.27 ... do this BEFORE you install the video drivers as I think it comes with the video drivers already Your NIC drivers should be installed with those mobo drivers
