this question has probably answered many times but i couldn't find any answers
 the question what's a VIP member (like do they have extra power that normal users don't) and where do they come from?

i asked this same question a while back, i cant remember the answer or find the thread but i dont think it gives any privelages, it just looks good and i think you have to be excalated by an admin to get that. Ask IAN, he would know.
