Default need help w/ upgrading ram

i was searching on ebay and found a great deal on a stick of ram.

http://cgi.ebay.com/BRAND-NEW-1GB-PC...QQcmdZViewItem

it looks like a nice buy, i already have 512 ddr ram (2 x 256) so, id have like 1.2 gb of ram. I have 2 slots for ram on my computer, according to sandra software i can upgrade to 1gb of ram, im thinking that its assuming that id use 2 512 sticks. My fsb is 266mhz, and the stick their selling is 266mhz, so im guessing that the stick they are selling will work on my comp.

im running a compaq btw
