Loosing network adapters

I had to format & reload XP Home (long story). I have a 2Wire from my isp (Sbglobal) for my DSL.

I keep Loosing network adapters every time I reboot. I then have to unplug the 2Wire USB wire, wait 15sec. then plug back in. Then XP SR2 finds it.

How do I fix?

When device manager is open & network adapters are not present, I can not get on the internet until I unplug, wait, then replug the USB wire.
