It's very hard to change out a cpu in a laptop but it can be done. mobo is hard to find one that fits... but cpus can be changed but i wouldnt recomend it.. i would say just ebay your self one...

definetly upgrade. i have a few of those old toshiba's around, and they are huge bricks!
