I have a compa1 presario 5000 P4 1.7 ghz, and i want to know if i can take the insides out and put it into a new atx case that can hold up to 12" mobo's....plz tell me if its possible, or if anyone knows if the compaq presario 5000 mobo is atx? plz its important...thanks alot...Bloodredragon21@yahoo.com

hard to tell, best thing you can do is open it up and take a look. atx mobos are typically 9.6" w x 12.00 L

most cases also offer multiple screw or standoff positions. also make sure that the rear i/o plate will work or is changable.

You can most likely install that into a "normal case" and the motherboard is most likely mATX
