Hi all, I'll be buying a new computer soon and need some help. Seen a site called www.pcspecialist.co.uk which allows you to customize your own PC at what looks like decent prices. Was wondering if anyone here has used them before or can tell me if what they sell is value for money.
Here's what I might be interested in buying; Intel Pentium 4 650 (64bit) 3.4gh 800mhz FSB/HTT/2mb 2048 MB DDR2-533 PC4200 ASUS P5LD2 Deluxe Dual DDR2, SATA 2x 16 VGA 3PCI 1 PCI-EX SATA 160 GB Hard Disk 7200 rpm 8mb cache 128 Radeon x300-SE PCI Express + DVI + TV Out High End Onboard 8 Channel Sound 10/100/1000 Network Card For Broadband Stylish Black X-Plode Case Silent 550W PSU + 120mmfan+ 19.2 dba CPU Cooler 1 x Firewire Port Onboard |

What are you using it for. I'd personally cut down on the RAM to 1 gig and get a better video card and motherboard, but that would be for gaming. Is the P5WD2 too expensive? If not, I would get that.

Hi thanks for your replay, I dont really have a choice which motherboard I can buy if I use pcspecialist. My desktop is over 6yrs old very noisy and takes an age to do stuff. All Im really looking for is a fast pc and the right specifications to get the most out of it. I wont really be using it for gaming if at all.

The x300SE should be fine wiht no gaming. Why not build it yourself? I can almost guarantee it will be cheaper, you can get watever parts you want, and it's not too hard.
