AMD MOBO and CPU

Im planning to build another rig in the near future, maybe in 4 to 6 mos. Ived already build a P4 base PC and now I want to try AMD. What is the top of the line CPU AMD can offer and what MOBO would be great with it.

MOBO: ASUS P4P800SE
CPU: P4 3.4HT
OS: XP PRO
RAM: 1024/TWINX512-3200XL CORSAIR
HDD: 120GB MAXTOR/8MB
AGP: ATI Radeon 9200SE
SC: Turtle Beach Santa Cruz 5.1

Prolly the ASUS A8V or the Abit AV8 as well as the highest clocked Newcastle FX53

Ived check the price of FX53

, its way beyond my budget, although I think its worth its price, and how fast thus it go? I mean compared to P4 prescott, coz Ived read about this article in Toms hardware , they OC a prescott and northwood up to 4Ghz, I was thinking, maybe I should stick with Intel

Grab what you want ... realistically it's just a matter of preference. If you get P4C you wont have to get such a highly clocked chip as its running a 20stage pipe while the P4E you'll want a really highly clocked chip to account for the 11stage defficiency cost.

If you want to stick with AMD, the Athlon64s are probably the route to go for most people,
