Best Desktop Replacement?

Hey, im looking to replace my desktop with a desktop replacement notebook because im going to be doing lots of traveling and need a very fast computer with me at all times, i do video fx and other art related things. I was looking at getting that one HP that is also a media center, but i was wondering if there was a way to get a tablet pc that is nearly as powerful? becuase im going to need to also get some tablet work done and i like being able to draw directly onto screens. does anyone know if there is a tablet pc that would fit my needs? or soemkind of portable external device?

my budget is 3.5k

go to www.averatec.com they have tablet pcs i think

alot of companys sell tablet pcs, its just i need oen that is VERY powerful. i need a notebook that can do 3d animation and video editing.

post the specs of what computer? i need like 1-2 gigs of ram, 256mb video card, p4 2.5 (atleast). those are the specs that are most important too me

i meant when you find a computer post the specs of it if you want what you posted here should be good enough for what you are going to do

but thats the problem, i need a tablet pc with all of this. i cant seem to find a tablet pc that has any type of power to it.

did you check on ebay they might have something and ill look around and see if i can find anything

i found one that might work

and a pentium m 1.6 is as fast as a pentium 4 2.4 and this tablet pc has a pentium m 2.0 so it should be plenty fast
