yes, it does comes with tools you can probably live withought.
yes, some of the stuff are useless, you probably wont even need.
yes, some of the stuff are trials, or demos, so there really is no point in keeping it
if you reboot, nothing will happen. it will still be the same laptop.
however, if you reformat, it will probably be the same, the recovery disc/xp disc (whatever you got) will most likely install almost the same setup if its a "manuafacture" made/programed/patched disc. if its a new xp, you can probably get a clean install.
conclusion:
if you wish, you can opt for a format, you wont lose much, you will just have to reinstall and update the drivers and hardwares.
---what i will probably do is just uninstall the unused/demos/trials.
