i have recently purchased a medion desktop computer...its been working fine for a week...but when i turned it on recently it got stuck on "intel inside logo" for about 5 mins then changed into a black screen saying "disk boot error, insert system disk and press enter" i have been told it could be a broken motherboard. but i need 2 use the computer as soon as possible and cant wait weeks for a new 1 2 b delivered. this is very frustrating! i am quite as technophobe and arnt experienced in computers that much...... so if anyone has a solution could they please but it in simple terms.
(i have also tried starting it up without peripherals plugged in, and i cant enter safe mode as it wont get that far and just gets stuck) if anyone can help i would be very grateful thanks Matt |

Go into the BIOS and remove all other drives except the HDD from the boot list and see if it will boot. If it won't, then there's possibly a problem with the OS or a piece of hardware.
