Angry problem with my winfast 6800gt

..i bought this card along with my computer a month ago
and suddenly .... today its acting really weird all over the sudden

as u can see in the pictures....its really weird o.O








yah sometimes it would work fine to windows xp and just freeze right up after 1~5 minutes of usage

That is very strange... Is it getting sufficient cooling? How about a driver version update?

dunno lol it locks up so bad if i get it into OS so i cant do a driver update...

its bad even in the BIOS post boot up o.O

called up Leadtek and they say it COULD be a manufacture defect

not pushin my luck with RMA since im havin a hurricane down here lol

Check for dust. My computers graphic card had an 1/16 of an inch of dust on it and I'm surprised it still worked, might be problem with yours but I dont know I'm not exactly an expert.

Oh and do you have a radeon card bcause someone else and my cousin were having problems similar to yours. Probably just a concidence but I'm curious.

my opinion would be that your card is faulty. i dont think dust is the problem cos nvidia cards use a lower clock speed when in 2d mode (i.e. the bios etc).

considering you haven't had the card long i would send it back for a replacement

well... im not shure if its damaged memory.. did the card always acted like this? if not, when did it start?

Looks like possibly a (or some) of the RAM sinks might have gotten loose? In either case this is a definite case for RMAing .. if you want to minimize damage for the time bieng, grab http://www.guru3d.com/rivatuner/ and underclock your machine to like 250Mhz core, 400 memory as a start
