Default windows registry

my gf had been getting an error messagewhen she starts up her laptop, it says that a file or something coul not be found when windows starts up and something about removing it fromt he registry. how do acces and remove said file from the registry?

Run regedit, go to key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Run (here are the program that are loaded when Windows starts).

what file man? lorand was right about what to do...you can also go to run and type msconfig and that do some stuff from there if needed. goign to to registry is probably a better bet...so just tell us the file.
