Default virus/spyware transfer from one HD to another?

well I got a new HD and since today(before I got the HD) everything was all screwey with errors and stuff i figure it is something bad like a virus or spyware that someone how on it, here is my dilema I want to copy some of those files over but i dont want virus or any other crap that was on that Hd to transfer over without me knowing it.


Is it possible to transfer over with out me copyed it my self? I will be copyeing files that i know arn't infected

As long as the files are clean, you shouldn't have any problems. I don't think anything will "jump" to the new drive.

alright, so nothing will move by itsself then? the stuff im moving I know is clean, some other stuff is pretty iffy though.

Yeah, as long as you only move the clean stuff it should be fine.
