Default Delivery... Signture required?

I ordered a laptop and it says that it will be coming this monday the 29th. I am wondering do they require a signature to deliver? I hope not becuase I am not sure that anyone at my house will be home. If that is the case do you think that they will accept a note that is signed instead. I would just leave it on the door so they would see it. Oh if it matters UPS is delivering. Thanks

you want them to make you sign. otherwise they will leave it at your door step so someone can take it. you can always go to their hub and pick it up. usually they try 3 business days in a row to deliver until you are forced to pick it up.

Well I live pretty much in the middle of nowhere and 1200 feet off a dead end road where no one can see my house so I'm not to worried about anyone taking it. Does that mean they don't require a signature?

most companies require a signature for liability reasons if your laptop gets stolen.

It depends on the shippers preferance(not the service, all services will do signatures, IF the person who sent it tell them too)

i saw a package today at the recycling center that was from fedex, and on the package it said something like this: Courrier, signature required even if signature is on file. So there are differnt ways for signature confirmation.
