hi all,
If I want to buy windows XP as my backup CD (I am using windows XP professional version now, and this current OS software is from someone else. I buy to have a backup cd), which version should I choose? professional or home edition? Which type should I buy? there is one that is "upgrade from windows 95, 98" and there is one that is "upgrade from windows 2000, windows ME". Rgds man_4422 |

The upgrade version works only if you have either an installation or the older discs (not sure if older "upgrade" discs work).
The non-upgrade versions you can use without the restriction of having an older version of windows. Between home and and pro, decision is yours depending on your needs: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/e...n/compare.mspx http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/p...choosing2.mspx
