Default Amilo 1630 3700+amd 64

I have an amilo a1630 and have problems with skipping/stuttering sound on mostly battery power,only two months old and have tried all i can think of to fix but no joy,does anyone else have this problem or is mine defective?

have you updated the latest drivers. on one of my laptops, the OS installed was messed up and caused the cpu to stall causing the sound to skip.

play a song in wmp and see if the skips are correlated to cpu lock ups. if you have a visualization it will stall as well.

Have all latest drivers (i think) but it still does it,sometimes drops frames on dvd playback but always has terrible sound on mp3 when not plugged in,sometimes sound skips to same beat as little disk led on panel

does the skips happen at the same time as the freezes in the windows media player visualizations with songs?

YES, its as if the processor cant run everything on battery power, even mouse clicks take longer to register on battery power!

how i fixed it was by formatting the hard drive and reinstalling the OS. something was corrupted when the manufacture installed the OS.
