Default Please prove my friend wrong!

Right, I am currently in the process of building a new computer for myself, and it's cost me around £1600 ($2700), and a friend of mine has really been getting onmy nerves because he thinks that on 3DMark05, my computer won't reach a score of 8000. I really need as many people as possible to prove him wrong! Here are my specs:

CPU: Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 4200+ Socket 939 512KB
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-K8N-XP Sli Motherboard
Graphics Card: XFX nVidia GeForce 7800 GTX 256Mb (450/1250)
RAM: OCZ 2Gb (2 x 1Gb) Dual Channel Platinum Series DDR400
HDD: Maxtor Diamondmax 250Gb SATA 7200rpm 16Mb Cache
PSU: Enermax 600W Noisetaker
DVD-RW: NEC ND-3540A Black Dual Layer DVD+/-RW
FDD: Sony 3.5" FDD
Fan Controller: Black Coolermaster Aerogate 2 Fan Controller

Case: Extreme Gaming Spider Case
Screen: Viewsonic VX924 19" LCD TFT 4ms Response Time
Mouse: Logitek MX518
Keyboard: Saitek Eclipse
Speakers: Creative Inspire 5.1 P5800 Speakers
Operating System: Windows XP Professional

Now if it doesn't make 8000 on 3DMark05, could you please tell me as I would like to know for myself, but then I'll choose to tell my friend what you guys think

Oh yeah, in a months time, I might get another 7800GTX to go into SLi mode. How much more performance will I receive, and how much more will this affect my 3DMark05 score?

Thanks!

With 2 7800 cards you will not tell a diffrence because on 7800 card will max out any game out there.... But get one because then you can brag.

haha, yeah I just got the card today I am so happy!! I'm still confident about my setup beating the 8000 mark on 3DMark05 though. Does anyone agree with me?

Thanks!

oh right, cheers geoff5093! I just read a few of their scores, and comparing my spec to theirs, then I am now also 100% confident that it will beat 8000

Thanks very much!

If you lose the friend you dont have to run stupid benchmarks.

It will easily reach a 3dm score of 8,000. That is a reallly nice computer you've gotten yourself there.
