Ok, my dads computer is messed, he was hooking up his computer from work at home, and he needed to change the resoltion, he did that and was testing things, and it diddnt look rite, he tryed again and then restart the computer, when the computer booted up, he couldnt see anything, it was just black, we pluged a diffrent moniter in and it stayed the same, i was wondering if he needs a new video card or whats the problem?
I couldnt explain it i tryed my best..., if u dont understand post that u dont, and ill try to reprhaze it. |

from what i can read, id say the resolution is set to high..
can you see the memory test and such stuff when you're booting up?

the resolution is set to high then
in the memory test, there is a standard resolution. but in windows the screen changes to the resolution, wich is chosen is the display propperties.link te pc on the biggest screen you can find, and start it up. (link it to the monitor where i did work ) then set the resolution vry low. (800x600 ). then you should be ok. anyway, i dont se a reason to buy a new card. Edit: another idea is to start windows up in Safe mode then you can set the resolution low

ah... i always pressed reset during the windows loading screen
so it can be done easely.. ^_^
