Default From Scratch!!!

(This is my first time posting so I'm sorry if this is in the wrong place.)

Hello, basically I need to know what to do from scratch.

I'm a beginner (well not even that yet!) with all of this stuff so I don't know any of the real terms but this is what I would like to do:

I've got some footage that I taped from the TV onto my VCR and I want to get this footage onto my PC. So what do I need to do this? Bear in mind I haven't got any form of video capture cards or anything yet so I need to know everything I will need, in as much detail (but simple please!) as possible.

All help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers, Omah.

Well you need a card first. TV tuner.

You usually get some S-composite and other kinds of required cables with the TV-tuner card.

This should work fine, and no, I don't believe he needs a TV tuner card. This should work fine for just getting stuff from the VCR.

That may have sounded daft. I asked because videos, DVDs etc. only work on some players so I wasn't sure if this is the same. Cheers.

the capture device that was linked to you handles PAL format aswell, which is what your vcr will be.
