Default Garry's Mod

I got garry's mod a week or 2 ago, and when i try to start a single player game for a HL2 map, it takes forever to load, much longer then when i use HL2 or CS:S, anyone know why? (it takes me a few min, vs HL2 it takes me <1min).

But what is cool about it is playing in chapter 1 and 2 and shooting ppl cause they have no guns , although if you kill someone important you need to restart the game to get any further, lol.

HL2 comes with CS:S, but you need the Half-Life 2 series, not Half-Life 1

Loading the maps in GMOD takes a bit longer, it's different than just playing HL2. It loads up all kind of stuff that has to do with GMOD.

well i can deal with it taking a while to load, but the weird thing is it usually freezes up within a minute of playing, and i cant even use CTRL+ALT+DEL or standby, but if i load a level, and then load that same level again, it runs smoothly and doesnt restart?? Anyone know if there are any patches out there or why it does this?
