We have three comps to go on the NW in a 3 story house. One on the top floor and two in the basement. The majority of use and demand will come from the basement. Both basement computers must be wireless....while the internet access is at the roof computer. Is having the router on the top floor and my comps in the basement going to be too far away? Impede my access speed?
I've never done the wireless thing from more than 5 feet away...would like to know before I start putting money down. Jason |

what might be a better option is to try and link two different wireless routers together by a long Cat 5 cable. Have one at the top which services the top pc and then run the cabel down to the lower floor where it would plug into a second router which would broadcast for the 2 basement pcs. More money but definatley a way to get a good signal
