Default PC fan

I found an old fan for PC's a few days ago and thought i;d use it, since the only thing i use is heatsinks(ram,CPU) and a fan on the CPU.

I have the fan mounted but there isn't any place to pluyg it in, I'm thinking maybe the standerd changed for ports of them? There isn;t anything on my mobo, or on my PSU for it, it needs 2 pins plugged into it.

Any idea's?

well, if you're run out of fan plugs you're outta luck unless you can but a molex to 2-pin thingy.

You're talking about the OLD 2 pin right? they work in the new plugs too. im powering 1 old fan in one right now.

the only fan i do have in there is the CPU fan which is a different thing, it has three pins.

and its a OLD fan and 2 pins, so I assime im tlaking about the 2 pin OLD. but just so ther eisn;t any confussoin, 2 ins need to go INTO it, its not 2 pins, then go into something on the mobo or anything.

the OLD 2 pins still work in todays 3 pins. that 3rd wire is jsut a sensor wire for detecting RPM's.

plug in the red and black (usually far left 2 pins) and it willl get power. thats what im doing with my fan i got plugged in now.
