How can i connect a desktop computer to a laptop.. I am buying a laptop, and i am going to use the "Files and Settings Tranfser Wizard" on my desktop so i can transfer the files/settings onto my laptop.. It said the best way was to use a serial cable.. What would i all need to transfer from computer to computer??? Using Disk Drives and Removeable Media would take way to long....
Thanks |

Fire wire will work or you can make or you can make/buy a crossover cable (one end [white/Orange, Orange, White/blue, green, white/green, blue, white/brown, brown] and the other end [white/green, green, white/Orange, blue, white/blue, Orange, white/brown, brown] )
